Dianna Effner Penny

I attended a doll show this morning and found this little cutie sitting naked on a table. Fell for the face immediately and brought her home. She is made of porcelain and has a hand painted face.

I have dressed her in what I had on hand that fitted her, but I will make her an outfit of her very own down the track . . . maybe a Jane Austen period costume . . . what do you think?
Got quite a bit on this weekend, so I'll catch up on reading your blogs on Monday . . . hope you are having a good one!

My Ethnic Dolls

Thought I'd share photos of my little cuties to brighten up your day. 😁

African Marieta doll by Carmen Gonzalez ~ Ella Jane after the jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald.

Bolivian Marieta "Little Liberty" by Carmen Gonzalez ~ shortened to Libby.

Playmates

Clara loves her teddy.

More new dresses.

Julia's New Wig & Friend

I think Julia (Kidz'n'Cats Julika) looks a good deal prettier in this wig and she is so much happier now she has a friend to play with.
ABYA ~ Yes, I knitted the outfit ~ the dress is a free "Poppy" pattern and the sampler cardi was created from the depths of my own noggin! :)

Bunnies, Owls & Roses

I've just finished these outfits for my Gotz dolls, Katie, Hannah and Clara. It's a little unfortunate that the lighter printed fabrics look a little washed out in the photo . . . they are more colourful IRL.

I was hoping to have co-ordinating shoes/boots for them in time for this shoot, but I am still waiting on their delivery.
The short sleeve top is a very simple FREE pattern to knit and has a four button closure at the back. The dress is made up of five rectangles of fabric (1 contrast hem, 1 skirt, 1 band & 2 straps), no fancy cutting or pattern needed and can easily be made to suit any size doll.

Hope you all are having an enjoyable time with your own dolls & crafts. :)
