More ideas of how to use this fibre HERE

This is how Angelina Fibre comes...colour DUSKY ROSE.

FIRST STEP: Lay a sheet of baking down on your ironing board.

SECOND STEP: Then add a sprinkling of the first colour you wish to blend.

This is my second colour SUGAR PLUM.
THIRD STEP: Add a second sprinkling of fibre using the second colour.

FOURTH STEP: The third colour CRYSTAL AMETHYST is added.

FIFTH & SIXTH STEPS: I added a little more of the second colour
and finally more of the first.
FINAL STEPS: Set your iron to the SILK setting,
add a layer of baking paper on top of all the fibres,
then gently press.

And there you have it, a pretty sparkling fabric!

Something a Little Different

Well I have been in LaLa Land this week, carefully sorting through all my stashed stuff for just the right thing to make up into some costumes for some of my Elvin Forest folk. And find it I did!

I found a whole bag of assorted Angelina Fibre that I purchased from Joggles long ago, unfortunately I won't be able to re-order any as they no longer stock it, which is a bit of a bummer. However, some had been used, but the rest was put into the storage bin and forgotten about, until now. Luckily for me, I still have most of the colours.

My first attempt was to blend a little of the Butterfly Blue, Peacock Green, Mint Sparkle and Crystal Mother of Pearl together ~ this being the result.

With my second attempt, I used Forest Blaze, Gold Iris, with just the slightest touch of Mint Sparkle.

I just love how these have turned out, they look even prettier IRL and I am now looking forward to making costumes for Jax the bunny and Brice the bear.

Tuesday

The Thunderbird Gang

The boys have been up to their antics again, this time they pinched Gina's scooter! Who would have thought these boys could be so naughty, they all look so innocent. :)

Raven (IpleHouse BID Serca Sculpt, Special Real Skin, KID Peach Face-up B), Finch (DollZone BB Choco, White Skin, Default Face-up) and Wren (IpleHouse BID Peekaboo, Light Brown Skin, Default Face-up C).

Project: Benchtop

It's quite amazing the products that are on the market these days. We renovated our kitchen a little while back, but never got round to changing the bench top as it was still in good condition. However, I wasn't happy that the colour no longer suited the rest of  the room.

So this week, and for as little as AU$190, with the help of Giani paint and a little masking tape (above) we began the task of updating the benches.

This is what it looked like after the base coat was applied.

This is after three random sponge applications of minerals. First you dab on a Pearl Mica, then Inca Gold and finally White Limestone, to give this granite look. You can put as much of each colour as you want, it's entirely up to you.

Then after two applications of a clear top coat and the tape has been removed . . .

. . .  a whole new look kitchen!

Wednesday

The New Boy on the Block

This is my new Wren (Iplehouse BID Peekaboo in light brown skin), I think he suits the image of the Thunderbird gang, much better than Naias ever did. He arrived yesterday, 14th June.

Even with his long hair (not sure about this wig, I may cut it) he still looks more boyish to me. He came with a lovely set of green eyes, so no need to change them. I was unsure what the face up would look like on this colour resin, but it's really nice and natural. I also love the way the blush emphasises his little chubby cheeks.

Tuesday

When you go down to the woods today . . .

You're sure of a big surprise.
When you go down to the woods today
You'll see Flossy in disguise!

My Fairyland RealFee is wearing an IpleHouse PID outfit that I modified to fit her.  I just opened the end of the sleeves, turned up about 1/4 inch of the fur inside and stitched it in place. It was easy to dress her by taking off her hands and replacing them when she was in the suit.

Friday

Verity

My DollZone Minas head arrived yesterday from Dolk, but missing any certificates and proper box, which made me wonder if she really was the genuine article. Never the less, I am pleased with the head and the face-up, though I shall be changing the eyes and wig at some point.

Verity will not be staying on this body either, I was impatient to see how this head fitted on Nadia's Luts Delf body. The neck size was quite a good fit, but the colour match of the Dollzone Yellow skin with Luts Real Skin Normal is way off, so I went looking at the resins I had on hand and am considering using an Impldoll Young Girl body (46cm tall) in Real skin. It is not perfect, but it isn't a bad match either and it's a reasonable price.

Having never been a fan of large breasted dolls, I think on the Young Girl body she will make a fine younger steampunk sister for Felicity, who is almost ready to be shown.

Well that's about all my dolly news for now. Hope you are all well and happy, I will now go catch up with reading all your blogs. :)
